Our Values

My focus at Winsome Acupuncture is to provide a safe, open, and collaborative approach to healthcare. I want you to feel empowered by knowing that your body has the ability to bring itself into back balance (that’s what acupuncture does, after all). I look forward to working in partnership with my patients in order to provide individualized and integrative care that brings meaningful results.

Be empowered

I believe firmly that healing happens from within. The needles guide qi and blood through the body - but the body is doing the work.

Collaborative care

Let’s talk about everything. I ask lots of questions to find the root of what’s going on. A “simple” sports injury may have a deeper cause. We’re going to find out, together.

Meaningful results

With three styles of acupuncture to work with, we can choose an approach that suits your needs and brings impactful results.

Winsome is just me - Corrine Popp. But I’m hoping that changes in the future.

I began studying Acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) in the summer of 2017. Since then I’ve spent thousands of hours in the classroom and in the clinic, learning about the theory of acupuncture and its application in modern times.

I’ve trained extensively in 3 different styles of acupuncture, and this gives me some extra tools to find the best method of treatment for each patient:

Acupuncture Physical Medicine (APM) is an American style of acupuncture that developed in the 80’s. Acupuncture is used to target tight bands of muscle (called “trigger points”) that are causing chronic pain through a set of referred pathways in the body.

Kiiko Matsumoto (KM) style acupuncture uses a combination of palpation, classic theory, and a gentle technique. Although the technique is gentle, it can have a powerful impact on the body, even after a single treatment.

Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) is the style you’re probably more familiar with. Its been in use for over 2000 years in East Asia. TCM has prescribed approaches to treat musculoskeletal issues, boost the immune system,, improve digestion, and address emotional issues.
